Finding Solid Ground Resources Group for Trauma and Dissociation

  • Heritage Professional Associates Virtual Group (map)

Enrollment: Open Admission (sign up today!)

This 13-week group is designed for adults who have experienced trauma and struggle with dissociation. The group will focus on Module One of the Finding Solid Ground protocol, a new evidence-based program specifically designed to help individuals develop skills to manage trauma-related symptoms and improve daily functioning.

Module One: Grounding Resources

The first module of the Finding Solid Ground protocol focuses on helping participants develop grounding resources, which are essential skills for managing dissociation and regulating emotions. Through a combination of didactic presentations, group discussions, and experiential exercises, participants will learn and practice skills such as:

  • When, how, and why to ground

  • How to recognize you are starting to get ungrounded

  • Developing healthy ways to get grounded

  • Separating past from present

  • Helping yourself when you’re feeling too much

  • How to help yourself heal the impact of trauma on the brain

  • the importance of self-compassion

  • Managing trauma-based thoughts

For individuals struggling with trauma and dissociation, this innovative and evidence-based program offers a supportive environment where we’ll focus on the grounding module: helping you reconnect with the present moment and build emotional stability. Gain practical tools to manage dissociation, cultivate resilience, and reclaim a sense of control in your life.

This group is part of an ongoing series of core groups.  Please reach out for information about concurrent and future group offerings.  The Heritage Center for Values Based Living seeks to engage individuals in the acceptance and change skills needed to face what feels impossible and discover what truly matters. We recognize that this journey is a unique one and seek to provide our clients with the individualized plan that journey requires.  Each person’s work at Heritage starts in a consultation with a member of our team where we will assess one’ treatment journey, goals, and then tailor our individual, group, assessment, and collaboration options to meet their needs.  This is particularly valuable for individuals who may be transitioning out of higher levels of care or  seeking higher levels of support while navigating demands of day-to-day life.
