Sara enjoys partnering with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She works hard to provide space and support to access the calm courage needed to move toward client centered values and goals. She integrates evidence-based creative and experiential interventions tailored to client needs, drawing on theories of ACT, DBT, internal family systems, EMDR, and existential therapy.
About Sara Zimmerman
Sara has a life-long love of learning and passion for partnering with people in their search for meaning, wholeness, peace of mind, and connection. Her theoretical framework is shaped by sharing common life with family and friends, years of volunteering with young women and living in community, and adventures in nature. She has earned degrees from Wheaton College in clinical mental health counseling (MA) and Christian education (BA), and received specialized training in EMDR.
