Marisa Franson is currently completing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Adler University. She is being supervised by Dr. Kim Lodewyk on the Clinical Therapy Team through the Heritage Diagnostic and Assessment Center.
About Marisa Franson
Marisa Franson is a Doctoral Therapy Extern who specializes in evaluating and treating individuals across the lifespan. Her clinical interests involve neuropsychology and health psychology, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders. She has previous experience providing psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions for those with chronic pain in an inpatient setting. She also has several years of experience providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment for those with depression, OCD, and other mental health concerns.
Marisa Franson uses a trauma-informed approach to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment in the therapy room. She aims to provide clients with practical strategies and resources to improve their mental health and well-being.
Working with Marisa is a warm and empowering experience. Others describe her as empathetic, accommodating, insightful, and dedicated in the therapeutic space. Marisa enjoys running, doing yoga, painting, caring for her houseplants, and attending concerts in her free time.
