Katie Stromberg, MA

Katie’s Approach to Therapy

Katie’s approach is relational and solution-focused. Katie believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help clients toward new insights and lasting change. Katie uses CBT to help clients dismantle and rebuild thought patterns in order to experience behavioral transformation and greater peace. Katie is motivated in her work by helping clients answer the questions, “what is true?” and “what is next?” as they move toward personal growth, healing and full flourishing.

About Katie Stromberg

Katie is a general practitioner who works with clients of varying ages and stages of life. Katie offers her clients a non-anxious presence, genuine compassion and a good sense of humor as she works to help them navigate the challenges of life. Katie uses a variety of treatment approaches and evidence-based techniques to help those working through anxiety and depression, parenting concerns, adolescent development, eating disorders, self-esteem, career development, spiritual concerns and adoption related issues. Katie is active in her faith community and counts it a great privilege to walk alongside her clients as they work toward healing and wholeness in their lives. Katie received her Masters degree in Social Work from Aurora University.

When not working with clients Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, her two teenage sons and her tween-age daughter. She also enjoys travel adventures, walks in nature, and a good cup of coffee, but laughing with friends is her favorite activity.
