Jordan Schnack’s Approach to Therapy
Jordan takes a relational and strengths-based approach to counseling. She utilizes play therapy techniques in her work with children, and takes a person-centered approach working with clients of all ages. Jordan enjoys involving the entire family system in counseling, and has experience drawing on ACT, CBT, and DBT in her work.
About Jordan Schnack
Jordan Schnack received her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, and her Bachelor's degree from University of Illinois. Jordan brings to her work with individuals across the life span genuine compassion, wisdom, curiosity and humor. She works from a strengths-based and client-centered approach, and ensures that every individual will experience a therapeutic relationship and safe space that promotes new growth, insight, learning, and change. Jordan brings expertise to many aspects of her clinical work including partnering with children and adolescents. She relies on the latest research and evidence based approaches for the treatment of depression, anxiety, relational and family struggles, and adjustment concerns across the life span. Jordan tailors her approach to every person's individual needs and preferences and can include focused work on school or academic related concerns, performance anxiety, social anxiety, concerns related to spirituality, ADHD, and autism, as well as strengthening internal resources of resilience, emotion regulation, social skills, confidence or self esteem.
In her free time, Jordan enjoys spending time with her loved ones and friends. Jordan loves spending time outside, going on long walks, painting, and watching sports. She also enjoys baking and trying out new recipes to share with family and friends.
