Bruce Norquist, M.A.
More About Bruce Norquist
Bruce takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), mindfulness, self-compassion, and Family Systems Theory. He believes that while challenges shape our journey, they do not define who we are—and that healing begins when we feel safe enough to ground ourselves in the present moment and restore the connection between the body, heart, and mind.
About Bruce Norquist
Bruce holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Moody Theological Seminary and a BA from Wheaton College, with extensive experience supporting the mental health of college students in his former role as a student life Dean in Higher Education. He is a Professional Counselor and enjoys working with adults, teenagers, and couples. Bruce brings a warm, collaborative, and compassionate approach to therapy, rooted in respect for each person’s story and a belief in their inherent worth and dignity. He seeks to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
Bruce’s clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, insomnia, spiritual trauma, vocational stress, and workplace burnout. He also supports couples navigating relational distress, always viewing the relationship dynamic as the focus rather than assigning blame. Bruce values helping clients build emotional awareness, resilience, confidence, and relational effectiveness.
In his free time, Bruce enjoys reading, exercising, savoring good coffee, and spending time with his wife and three children. He’s also a dedicated Cubs and Bears fan.
