About Whitman Kent
Whitman Kent is a diagnostic technician who works with teens and adults. His clinical interests involve anxiety, depression, and other emotion focused concerns. Whitman uses a CBT approach with structured evidence-based treatments that are informed by the person’s unique characteristics. He aims to help people create individually tailored goals that guide treatment and help create clear expectations for them. He wants to foster people’s growth through increased insight of their emotions. Whitman uses each person’s distinctive strengths to help them develop skills to continue growing outside of the therapy room.
Whitman is currently completing his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College. He is serving as a Psychometrist (Supervised by John M. McConnell, Ph.D.) at Heritage Professional Associates. His diagnostic interests include neuropsychological testing especially with older adults. Whitman has specific interest with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.
