Introducing "Rooted Resilience" - a trauma-informed DBT and somatic group for adults. This group offers a unique integration of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and somatic techniques, specifically designed for adults who have experienced trauma. Our approach prioritizes safety, connection, and empowerment, fostering an environment where individuals can explore new ways of living and healing. DBT skills, such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation, will be taught and practiced within a trauma-informed framework, acknowledging the impact of trauma on participants' lives. Simultaneously, somatic techniques will help individuals develop body awareness, release pent-up tension, and enhance their sense of grounding and control.

Mentalization is like a superpower for your mind! It's the ability to understand that your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected and can change depending on the situation. When you have attachment wounds, it can be hard to see that your thoughts and feelings are like a puzzle that can be solved. Mentalization helps you step back, look at the whole picture, and find new ways to put the pieces together. It's like having a wise guide inside your mind, helping you navigate tricky emotions and relationships. With mentalization, you can start to understand why you feel the way you do, and make positive changes to build stronger, healthier connections with others. It's like learning a new language that helps you communicate better with yourself and others, and can help heal those attachment wounds.
