More About Gigi Borge

Outside of my professional work, I’ve spent much of my time enjoying raising 3 children with my husband Marc, volunteering in my community, singing, playing guitar, dancing and pursuing wellness/fitness goals (one of which is to laugh on a regular basis!). My undergraduate and first graduate degree were focused on foreign language and culture. I participate in a faith community, lead a meditation/contemplation group, spend time in nature, seek to be grateful for the grace in all of life’s ups and downs and strive to remain in awe and wonder.

In our collaborative counseling, I hope you will gain the insight, healing and empowerment you desire, helping you connect to your life in deep, meaningful and awe-inspiring ways.

About Gigi Borge

I am Mary “GiGi” Borge. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR Therapist, Strengths-Based Coach and Gottman Certified Educator. I have an MA in Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College Graduate School and have so enjoyed being in coaching and counseling practice with groups, families, couples and individuals since 2017. I’m thrilled to have come on board at Heritage Professional Associates in 2020.

My areas of training and focus are: Trauma healing with EMDR, Strengths-based Empowerment, Mind-body Integration, Sexual Concerns, Life Transitions, Relational Issues, Spiritual Growth, Adults and Young Adults, Children and Adolescents, Depression and Anxiety and Grief.

I am very relationship-focused, as I believe that deep, authentic connection is a powerful need and a wonderful gift. Therefore, I work from a relational approach to counseling, bringing genuine self into the therapeutic relationship. I am awed by the courage of clients, who allow me the privilege to collaborate with them as they heal and grow in understanding and appreciation of their unique experiences, strengths, struggles, needs, values and hopes for the future. I am also deeply moved by the courage of couples and families who allow me into the sacred ground of their relationships to help them create new ways of interacting.
